Well its finally happening. My daughter is about to make her first step into reception and I will soon have 6 hours a day of free time. What to do, what to do.....Well painting of course, gymnasium and most deffinately finish my course: A Diploma in Art and Animation. But for now I will talk about my potential journey into commission based painting.

I will give you a brief catch up so you currently know where I stand with things. About a year and a half ago I bought my first Warhammer 40,000 boxed set Dark Vengeance and was highly excited!! A friend of mine did the exact same thing however he bought 2!! Haha.

Anyway soon afterwards he did me a deal where I would give him my chaos batch in return for his 2 Dark Angels retinues. I thought that was an awesome deal so I took it. So my Space Marine Dark Angel force was born. I then decided I wanted an Ally so bought some more tactical squads, a rhino and dreadnought and turned them into Blood Angels.

Welllll it didnt really do anything for me so now I have decided to go full on Dark Angels after finally finding this awesome basecoat technique which essentially does most of the work for me.

The one on the left was an attempt at copying James Wappel's (http://wappellious.blogspot.co.uk/) Blood Angel successor chapter. I decided against it as I needed to concentrate on how to use my airbrush correctly.

I was originally using the bog standard airbrushes that came with the Air Compressor however after a few weeks decided that I needed better as I enjoyed using them so I went out and bought an Infinity 2 in 1 which I have to say is by far an awesome airbrush to use.

Again anyway moving on....I have almost fully completely basecoating my 7128 points worth of Dark Angels and will be doing the detail work shortly. I will link the current progress very shortly ( Cam needs to charge first).

Thanks for reading speak soon :)
Shar.
